1.Introduction 

One of the key responsibilities of Gender Monitoring Office is to monitor the implementation of regional and international treaties, agreements and commitments related to the promotion gender equality and women’s empowerment that Rwanda has ratified; including analyzing gaps in implementation and making recommendations for improvement.

2.Key Achievements 

Production of Gender Country Reports: GMO produced reports on the status and implementation of international commitments that Rwanda ratified including among others the Beijing Country Report and the report on the Implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1325.
